Getting down to the basement here near Nigdi Bus Stop can be a bit of a squeeze when it’s busy. We are right in the 7 Nigidi B G Corner building. It’s easy to miss if you aren’t looking for the flag hanging out front. Most of our day is spent looking at computer screens and talking on the phone with people. Customers come in rushing because they have a bus to catch or a trip they need to plan quickly. The walls are a bit plain, maybe a few old calendars hanging up to keep track of the days. We have a couple of chairs for people to wait while we check the availability. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait a few minutes to print a ticket, which can be frustrating. It’s a small office but it does the job for us. Being so close to the bus stop means there is always a crowd outside and plenty of noise. You can hear the conductors shouting out destinations all afternoon. We drink a lot of chai from the stall nearby just to keep going through the long shifts. The basement stays cool even when it is boiling outside in the summer. We handle a lot of paperwork. It piles up on the desk sometimes. There isn’t much space for anything else in here. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. People know they can just walk down the stairs and ask about the routes. It is not fancy.
