Mahatma School Of Academics & Sports And Junior College Of Arts, Science & Commerce is located over in Sector 8 of New Panvel. People around here usually just know it as the spot near the West side station area. It’s a busy place because we handle everything from the little kids up to the junior college students doing science or commerce. The sports part is a big deal here too, so you often see students running around the grounds even after the main classes are done for the day. Being in Navi Mumbai, we get a lot of local families from Raigad district coming in. The building itself has seen many years of students passing through its halls. It’s not always quiet, especially when the bell rings and everyone is heading to the labs or the playground at the same time. Teachers here have been around a while, and they know the neighborhood well. You’ll see parents waiting outside the gates in the afternoon heat, chatting with each other while they wait for their kids. It’s just a normal, hardworking school where things get done every day. We don't have fancy lobbies or anything, just classrooms, desks, and a lot of activity. Sometimes the traffic in Sector 8 gets a bit much during drop-off times, but that is just how it is in Panvel. Every year the faces change but the routine stays pretty much the same for us here.
