Mahatma Gandhi E.M High School

We are over here in Sunderbaug Colony, right at Bungalow No 164. It’s a quiet corner of Dapodi mostly, but when the kids arrive in the morning, things get pretty loud fast. We’ve been at this Pune location for a good while now. You’ll see the school gate tucked away near the houses. It isn’t some massive glass building or anything fancy. It is just a place where students come to sit in their classrooms and listen to teachers talk about history or math. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise in the summer heat, but nobody minds much. We spend our days managing the registers, making sure the bells ring on time, and checking if the blackboards are clean for the next lesson. Parents drop their kids off on scooters and have a quick chat before heading to work. It’s just a normal school life here. We have desks that have seen better days and windows that let in the Pune breeze. There is always a bit of dust because of the road work nearby, but we sweep it out every morning. Lunch break is the loudest time when everyone eats their dabbas in the courtyard. It feels like a big family most days, even when things get a bit disorganized. We just keep things moving, one day after another, making sure the kids have their books and pens ready for whatever subject is next on the timetable.
