Mahanagar Palika School

Mahanagar Palika School is located in Koregaon Park. We are at Bungalow A/16 inside the Vidhyut Nagar Co-operative Society. You can find us off South Main Road on Lane No 5. This is one of the older parts of Pune and it has a lot of trees and quiet lanes. The school operates out of a bungalow, which is quite common for schools in this specific neighborhood. It gives the place a bit of a lived-in feeling. We have been here at this location for a long time. The students come from the local area and the nearby neighborhoods. Since it is a Mahanagar Palika school, we focus on the basics. The rooms are converted from their original bungalow layout into classrooms for the different grades. We have a small yard where the kids can play during their break time. The staff here is used to the way things work in a government-run setting. We don't have a lot of modern gadgets, but we have the books and the teachers. The lane can get a bit crowded when the parents come to pick up their kids in the afternoon. It is a very grounded place. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or large signs. We just keep the building in good enough shape for the students to come and do their work every day. It is just a part of the local community.
