Mahalingappa School

Mahalingappa School is situated at Property No-2 in Marunji Goan. If you know the Hinjawadi area of Pune, you’ll know it’s grown a lot lately, but our spot still has a bit of that local village feel to it. We aren't one of those massive international schools you see further out with the big buses. We’re a smaller place that serves the local community here in 411057. The building is simple and sturdy. We have kids coming in every day from the nearby houses. There’s a bit of dust because of all the construction around Hinjawadi, but we keep the classrooms tidy enough for the lessons. It’s a place where the teachers know the names of all the parents and vice versa. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets. We use books, notebooks, and blackboards. The kids play outside in the clearing when it’s not too hot. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. You won’t find any polished marketing here, just people working to make sure the children learn their lessons. Sometimes the power goes out or the road outside gets muddy, but we just carry on with the day. It’s a real school for real people. We’ve been part of the Marunji Goan landscape for a bit now, and we’re happy to stay that way. It’s just about providing a basic, reliable place for kids.
