Madura Labour Welfare Association High School

Our school is out in Mamurdi, near Sai Nagar. We are located within the D.V.M English Medium School premises in Sanket Vihar. It’s a bit of a walk from the main Dehu Road, but it’s a growing area with lots of new houses and families moving in. The school serves the children living in these new colonies. We have a fairly simple setup here. The building is sturdy and has plenty of windows to let the light in during the morning. We don't have expensive gym equipment or high-tech labs, just the standard science kits and library books that we've collected over time. The teachers are mostly people who live on this side of Pune. We have a lot of kids who come from working families, and they are generally very well-behaved and eager to learn. The playground is mostly dirt and gravel, but the children don't seem to mind when they are playing tag or cricket during their free time. We have a routine that we stick to every day. Assembly in the morning, then classes until the lunch break. The office is small and usually has a few parents waiting to talk to the principal. It’s a grounded place. We aren't trying to be the most modern school in the world. We just want to make sure the kids in Mamurdi have a place to go where they can learn their math and English and prepare for their futures.
