We’ve been here in Pimple Gurav for a good while now. Being right near the bus depot makes it easy for most of the families to drop their kids off before heading to work. The building itself is just a regular school building, nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done. Every morning you can hear the kids chatting out front while they wait for the doors to open. Our classrooms are usually full of desks and charts we've pinned up over the years. Some days it gets pretty noisy, especially during the breaks, but that is just how a school is. The teachers here are local people mostly. We know the parents and we know which kids live on which street. It’s a busy place. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized and making sure everyone has their books and pencils ready. In the afternoons, the street gets crowded when everyone leaves. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit messy outside the gate, but we manage. We aren't a big flashy institution. It is just a place where the kids come to learn their lessons and talk with their friends. We have some plants in the corner and a small space for them to run around during the midday. It’s pretty straightforward here. We just show up every day and keep the school running for the neighborhood families who rely on us for their children's daily schooling.
