Madhava E.M School

Madhava E.M School is tucked away in the Art Sphere building, specifically at 402 North Court in Kalyani Nagar. This part of Pune is quite modern, but the school itself is quite grounded and focused on the daily task of teaching. Being on the fourth floor means we have a bit of a view, though mostly we are looking at the other buildings in the North Court area. The hallways are usually filled with the sound of students moving between classes. Kalyani Nagar is a fast-paced area, so there is always something happening outside our doors. We try to keep the atmosphere inside calm so the students can actually hear what is being said in class. It’s an English medium setup, so there is a lot of emphasis on speaking and writing correctly. We don’t have a giant field, but the kids find ways to stay active. The building is shared with other offices and spaces, so we have to be mindful of our neighbors. Our staff handles the registers and the daily schedules without much fuss. It is a practical choice for parents who work or live in this side of Pune. There is a lot of light coming through the windows in the afternoon, which makes the classrooms feel a bit bigger than they are. We just keep things running day by day, making sure the lessons are finished and the homework is checked before everyone heads home.
