Maa Saraswati Public Senior Secondary School

Maa Saraswati Public Senior Secondary School is situated at Serve No. 17 in Manjri Greens Phase Iv. We are right off the Pune Solapur Road, so the sound of trucks and cars is something we hear all day long. It’s a big enough spot near Manjari Farm. Because we go up to senior secondary, we have a lot of older students hanging around the corridors. The building is a bit spread out. We have a playground that is mostly dirt, but it’s large enough for a game of cricket if the kids are careful. The sun can be really harsh out here, so we try to keep the students indoors during the hottest part of the afternoon. Our science lab has the basic test tubes and burners, nothing too advanced, but enough to do the required experiments. The office is always busy with people coming in to talk about admissions or fees. We have a lot of notice boards covered in old announcements and timetables. It’s a straightforward school. We don't have fancy air conditioning or carpets. It’s just concrete floors and sturdy walls. We’ve been serving the families in the Manjri Greens area for years. Most of our students come from the apartments nearby. We just try to keep the school running and the kids focused on their exams. It is a long day for everyone, but we get through it.
