Maa Laxmi Public School

Maa Laxmi Public School is inside the Power Point building at 101, right on Lane 6 in Koregaon Park. It’s a bit unusual because most people think of this area as just cafes and big houses, but we are right here in the mix. Being in a commercial building means we don’t have a big open yard for the kids to run around in. They mostly spend their time in the classrooms or the hallways. We have a few rooms on the first floor. It stays relatively quiet because Lane 6 isn't as loud as the main road. The desks are simple, and we have enough light from the windows. It’s a small school, so we know every student by their first name. We don't have a big reception desk or a lobby. You just walk in and the classrooms are right there. The teachers have a small corner where they keep their bags and lunch boxes. We focus on the textbooks and making sure the kids understand what’s being read. Sometimes the neighbors in the building complain if the kids get too loud during recess, so we try to keep them calm. It’s a practical solution for parents who work nearby and need a school that is easy to get to. We just do our work and go home when the sun sets. There are no fancy frills here, just basic education in a very central location.
