Little Chokha is located in Kothrud 3. It’s not a very big place, which I guess is why the name fits. Kothrud is a crowded area with lots of houses and small shops squeezed together. Our shop is just one of many on the street. We have a small kitchen area and a few places where people can stand or sit if it’s not too crowded. We mostly deal with locals who live a few blocks away. They know us by now. We don't spend money on fancy signs or bright lights. The paint on the walls is a bit faded in the corners, but it doesn't really matter for what we do. We start early in the morning getting everything ready for the day. The smell of cooking fills the whole space pretty quickly. Sometimes the delivery bikes block the front door, and we have to go out and ask them to move. It’s just how things go in a busy neighborhood like this. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just make the food and hope people like it enough to come back tomorrow. Some days are better than others. When it rains, the street gets muddy and business slows down, but we stay open anyway. It’s a simple life running a small shop in Kothrud, and we are fine with that. We just close up when the food runs out or the sun goes down.
