Laxmi Battery is situated in Sasane Nagar, right in Phase 6. If you live around here, you’ve probably seen the stacks of black battery casings outside our door. It’s heavy work, moving these things around all day. My back usually aches by Tuesday, but you get used to it after a few years. We deal with all sorts of batteries—for cars, bikes, and those big inverters people use when the power fails. The shop has that specific smell of lead and acid that never really goes away, no matter how much you vent the place. It’s just a part of the trade. Sasane Nagar is a growing area, so there’s always new people moving in and needing their vehicle batteries checked. Especially in the winter when the cars don’t want to start in the morning. That’s our busiest time. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee. Usually, people just stand near the entrance and chat while we test their old battery with the multimeter. It’s a practical business. We don't use big words or try to sell you something you don't need. If the battery is dead, we tell you. If it just needs a charge, we do that too. It's just me and the guys making sure the neighborhood keeps moving. Sasane Nagar Phase 6 is a good spot for us. The tea stall nearby makes the best ginger chai.
