Krishna Auto Spares

Our shop, Krishna Auto Spares, is located right in the Market Yard area, across from Kalyan Chambers. It’s a busy spot near the Shree Ganpati Paper building. Being in the Market Yard means we see a lot of delivery vans and trucks that need quick fixes. We mostly stock the common things—filters, oil, brake pads, and stuff like that. It’s a small space, so we have to be organized, though it might not look like it to someone walking in from the street. I spend a lot of my day looking through catalogs or calling suppliers to see who has what. We don't really do the repairs here; we just provide the parts to the guys who do. It's a lot of back and forth. Some days are slow, and we just sit and watch the trucks go by. Other days, three people want the same thing at once and we’re running around trying to find the right box. We’ve been at number 27 for a while now. The address is a bit long, but most locals know the landmark. We try to be fair with what we charge because we know most of our customers are working hard for every rupee. It’s a straightforward business. We buy the spares, we sell them, and we try to make sure they’re the right fit for the vehicle. Nothing more to it than that really. We just try to be helpful to the drivers.
