We’re located over in the Panchavti Building on Satara Road. It’s a bit of a climb up to the fifth floor where we have our space in units 502 and 503, but we don't mind the stairs too much. Most days, the smell of brewing is what keeps us going through the morning. We started this because we really just liked the stuff ourselves and wanted to be in the middle of the Pune scene without working for a giant company. It’s not a massive operation, just a few of us making sure the beans are right and the machines are working like they should. We spend a lot of time talking about different roasts and how things should taste when they finally hit the cup. Sometimes we argue about it, but it’s all part of the daily job. Being in this part of Pune means we get a lot of regulars from the nearby offices and apartments who just want a quick drink. We’ve gotten to know a few names and faces over time, which makes the days go by faster. The building is usually pretty busy, so there’s always something happening in the hallways or by the elevators. We don’t really go in for the fancy decorations or the stuff you see in big corporate cafes that all look the same. Our furniture is simple, and we focus more on what’s in the cup than how the walls look. It’s a bit of a trek up here, but we like the view and the quiet away from the main road noise.
