Kiva Lounge

If you head over to Shivaji Nagar, you'll find us at 210/A, in the Symphony C building on Range Hill Road. Kiva Lounge is a bit of a local spot for people in Bhosale Nagar who want to get out for the evening. It’s not a very big place, just units 3 and 4, so it can get pretty packed on the weekends. I usually spend my time making sure the glasses are clean and the tables are set right for whoever comes in next. The lighting is low, which helps hide the fact that the place is a bit older than some others nearby. We have music playing most of the time, though sometimes the speakers crackle a bit when it's too loud. It is a lot of standing on your feet and carrying trays back and forth between the tables. You see all sorts of people coming through the doors once the sun goes down and the workday ends. Some stay for hours and others just have one drink and leave quickly. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed, but it can get loud when the crowd builds up and everyone is talking at once. Working here means getting home late when the streets are finally quiet. Range Hill Road is usually busy during the day, so it’s nice when things calm down at night. It is just a regular lounge where people go to hang out. We don't overthink it.
