Kanchan Holidays is situated in Sadashiv Peth, right inside the Poona Hospital Compound on Lal Bahadur Shastri Road. Our office is in Rachi Chambers, which is directly opposite the hospital itself. Being in Sadashiv Peth means we are in one of the older, more established parts of Pune. The office is a bit of a quiet retreat from the heavy traffic on LBS Road. We spend most of our time at our desks, researching different places and putting together travel itineraries for people who want to go on a trip. It isn't a huge operation with dozens of employees. It is just a small team of us who know a bit about travel. We have maps and brochures lying around, and the computers are always on as we check for the latest prices and dates. People often walk in after visiting the hospital or while they are out running errands in the Peth area. We talk to them about where they want to go and what their budget looks like. There is no high-pressure sales talk here. We just give them the information they need and let them decide. The compound can be a bit tricky to navigate if you aren't familiar with it, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. It’s a steady job, helping folks plan their breaks and making sure all the bookings are confirmed.
