Kalpak Engineers

We've been over here at Rajmani Industrial Estate for a while now. It's unit 111, right in the middle of Bhosari's busy hub. Things stay pretty loud with the machines running, but that's just how the day goes for us. We mostly deal with mechanical parts and whatever the local shops need fixed up. It’s not a fancy place, just a workshop with grease on the floor and tools everywhere. We start early, usually before the traffic gets bad on the main road. Some days are just about hitting deadlines, others we're just scratching our heads over a drawing that doesn't make sense. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so we kind of know what everyone is doing without talking much. We don't have a big office or anything, just a desk tucked in the corner where the paperwork piles up. If you walk into the estate, you'll hear the lathes going and that's usually where we are. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We don't really do much advertising, people just sort of find us when they need something machined or welded properly. It gets hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, but we manage with the big fans we've got bolted to the walls. That’s pretty much what life is like at Kalpak Engineers. Just a bunch of us getting through the work list every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we all have to take a break outside for a bit. We've been at it for years and haven't seen much reason to change how we do things.
