Kailas Engineering Works

Kailas Engineering Works is based in Somanth Nagar, which is part of the Vadgaonsheri area. We run a local workshop where we take on all sorts of metalwork and fabrication jobs. The place is basically a big open shed where we keep our lathes and welding equipment. It is not the kind of place you would come to if you were looking for a clean office environment. There are metal scraps and shavings on the floor most of the time, and the walls are a bit stained from the smoke. We started this workshop because we liked working with our hands and building things that actually last. Somanth Nagar has a lot of small industries like ours, so we feel right at home here. Our day usually starts with a hot cup of tea before we get the machines running. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people in Vadgaonsheri who just walk in because they need something welded or a part made for their own machines. We try to be fair with our prices and we do not promise things we cannot do. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought it would, but we always make sure it is finished properly before it leaves the shop. It is a straightforward way of doing business and it works for us and our neighbors.
