K L B Engineering is located over at Talegaon Dabhade on Tilak Road, specifically at the Swargate Corner 282/2 spot. We are basically a workshop where things get fixed and parts get made. There is usually a lot of grease and the smell of metal in the air here. We have been at this location for a while, and the neighbors know us by the sound of the machines running during the day. It is not a quiet office job; we are always on our feet dealing with tools and drawings. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought, or a machine breaks down, and we have to stay late to get things sorted. We handle a lot of different engineering tasks depending on what walks through the door or what the latest order requires. Our space isn't huge, but we make the most of it with the lathes and other equipment we have set up. Most of the guys working here have been doing this for years, so they know their way around a piece of steel. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it is for some basic billing or looking at a part design. It is mostly manual work and making sure the dimensions are right so everything fits together like it should. We just keep our heads down and get the work done as it comes to us from the local area. It’s noisy and dirty, but that’s engineering for you and it's what we do for a living.
