Our office is situated at 19 British Indian Street. If you’ve ever walked down this road, you know it has that old-fashioned feel that only this part of the city really has. The building itself has seen a lot of history over the years. At Josts Engineering Company, we’ve been around for a long time, but we don't spend much time talking about the past. We’re usually too busy dealing with the day-to-day work of keeping things running. It’s an engineering firm, so there’s a lot of talk about specs, load capacities, and maintenance schedules. The rooms are high-ceilinged and sometimes feel a bit drafty in the winter, but it’s a solid place to work. We have a lot of files and old records stored away in cabinets because we like to keep track of everything we’ve done. It’s not a flashy modern office with bean bags or glass walls. We have heavy wooden desks and filing cabinets that actually lock. The street outside is always bustling with people and vendors, which keeps things interesting. Sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear on the phone, but you get used to it after a while. We just focus on the engineering side of things and try to be reliable for the people who depend on us. It’s just us, doing our jobs in a part of town that hasn't changed much while everything else seems to be moving so fast.
