Joshi Tours

Our place, Joshi Tours, is located right on Magadi Road, over in Parvati at number 5. My father started this years ago because he liked being on the road and meeting new people. Now I handle most of the bookings and the scheduling while he rests. We have a few vans that we use for family trips or when people want to go see the temples nearby. It’s busy work most weeks. Usually, the mornings are the loudest with everyone trying to get the keys and check the oil before they head out. We stay in this little office space which is usually cluttered with old maps and logbooks. I try to keep things organized, but sometimes the paperwork gets ahead of me. We don't do much advertising, mostly just folks from around Parvati coming by because they saw our sign or knew my dad. Magadi Road is always loud with trucks and buses, so we’re used to the noise. If someone needs to go out of town for a couple of days, they just come in and we chat. We figure out the cost and who’s going to drive that day. It’s a lot of coordination. The drivers are local guys who have been with us for a long time. They know the routes better than the phone does most days. We just try to get people from point A to point B without any trouble. It’s straightforward, honest work, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Sunday.
