Jidnya Arts is based out in Ambegaon 13, in a quiet enough spot compared to the city center. We spend our days surrounded by different materials, brushes, and whatever projects we have going on. It is more of a workspace than a gallery, to be honest. There are always scraps of paper or bits of clay on the floor. We started here because the rent was okay and we needed room to breathe. The walls are covered in old sketches and notes we’ve made over the months. Sometimes we lose track of time when we are working on a specific piece. People from Ambegaon sometimes stop by to see what we are making or to ask for something custom. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one that says who we are. It is a bit disorganized, but that is just how we work. We have a few old tables that have seen better days, but they are sturdy enough for the heavy lifting. The light in the afternoon is actually quite good for seeing details. We are just a couple of people who enjoy making things with our hands. It is not a corporate setup by any means. We handle everything ourselves, from the first sketch to the final cleanup. It is a simple life in a simple part of town, and we like the pace of things here.
