Jayhind Engineering Works

Started the shop in Chikhlee a while back. It is mostly just a lot of metal and oil here every day. We open the shutters early when the sun is still coming up. The machines take a bit to warm up. Some days it is very loud and other days it is just us cleaning up the scrap. Most people know where we are because of the big tree near the entrance. We handle whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it is a small fix and sometimes it is a big pile of parts that need work. There is always tea around eleven and that is when we talk about what needs doing. The floor gets dusty no matter how much we sweep it. We have some old lathes that still run better than the new ones. It is not a fancy place at all. Just a regular workshop with tools everywhere on the benches. You can hear the grinding from the street. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the guys have been here for years. It is a simple life in Chikhlee. We don't have a big office or anything. Just a desk with too many papers on it and a calendar from three years ago still hanging on the wall. We just focus on the work at hand and getting the dimensions right before the day ends.
