You can find us right opposite the Bank of Baroda, which is a big help when people are trying to give directions to our shop near the Bhaji Center. We’re tucked into a spot that sort of sits between Iit Powai and Hadapsar, so we get a real mix of people coming through the door. In the mornings, the smell from the vegetable market nearby is really strong, and you can hear the vendors calling out their prices while we’re setting up our displays. We have bags hanging from the ceiling and piled on the counters because there never seems to be enough shelf space for everything we have. The floor is usually a bit messy with packing tape and cardboard boxes that haven't been flattened yet. We don’t have a lot of space for customers to move around, but nobody seems to mind squeezing past each other to get a better look at what is on the racks. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or so, and we just sit by the door where there’s a bit of natural light and wait for it to come back on. It’s a local kind of place where we know which neighbor likes which style. We don’t use any big marketing tricks, we just show people what we have and let them decide. It’s a busy little corner of the world and we’re just glad to be a part of it.
