Located at 4 Budhwar Peth Narsi Natha Street, our place is right inside the Vishveshwar Co Operative Society. It’s a busy area and we’ve been here handling lens work and spectacles for quite a while now. Most days start early, getting the shop ready and checking the stock of frames we have on the shelves. It’s not a huge fancy showroom, just a practical space where we look at prescriptions and figure out what glass or plastic works best for someone’s eyes. The street outside gets pretty crowded with people moving about, but inside it’s mostly just us working through the orders. We spend a lot of time adjusting frames so they don’t pinch someone’s nose or slide down. It’s tedious work sometimes, dealing with small screws and fragile parts, but it’s what we do. People from around the society often drop by just to ask a quick question about their bifocals or to get a loose hinge tightened. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. The sign outside is enough for most folks to find us. Usually, there’s a bit of dust from the road, so we spend a good amount of time cleaning the display cases and making sure the lenses are clear. It’s just a regular local spot in Budhwar Peth where the focus is on getting the glasses right so people can actually see what they’re doing. Nothing too complicated about it.
