Jay Hanuman Tea Centre

You can find us over at Hadapsar Bellandur Gate, right on Ballandur Road, Off Sarjapur Road 98. It is a busy spot where people are always moving between Hadapsar and the main road. We keep the stove going from very early in the morning until late at night. The tea is always hot in the big kettle. We don't have a lot of seating, just a few benches where people sit for five minutes before heading to their offices. We see a lot of the same faces every day, mostly workers and commuters. The area gets very dusty because of all the construction and traffic nearby, so we are constantly cleaning the glass and the counters. It’s a small team here, just two or three of us. We also have some snacks like biscuits and buns that go well with the tea. Sometimes when it rains, everyone crowds under the small roof and it gets very loud. We don't use fancy machines, just the regular pots and strainers. The sugar and tea dust bags are stacked in the back. It’s a simple life running a tea stall. We don't have a big menu, just the basic things that people want when they are on their way somewhere. The road noise never stops, but you get used to it after a while. We just keep our heads down and serve the tea. It is hard work but we are used to the routine of it.
