We are located right in the middle of the MIDC area of Pimpri. It’s a huge industrial zone with a lot of noise. Our unit is W-1 in the F2 Block. It’s a very busy part of town to work in. There are factories everywhere you look in this neighborhood. We make encoders here. It’s very precise work that needs focus. You really need a steady hand for most of it. The shop floor is kept as clean as we can manage with all the traffic. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls. Just the machines and the workbenches where the work happens. Most of us have been working with electronics for a very long time. It’s really the only thing we know how to do well. The commute to Pimpri can be a bit of a nightmare during the peak hours. But once you’re inside the gates, it’s usually fine. We have a small lunchroom where we all sit together at the same table. There’s no separate area for the management or anything like that. We just talk about whatever is happening in the news that day. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated business plans here. If someone needs an encoder, they tell us the specs they want and we make it. That’s the whole process. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have a backup. We just keep going.
