We are located on the Vadgaon Budruk Chinchwad Road, which stays pretty busy most of the time. Our shop is where we handle various engineering and mechanical tasks. It’s a lot of lathe work, fixing parts, and making sure machines are running right. There are tools hanging on the walls and piles of metal parts on the workbenches. It feels like there is never enough space, but we manage to find what we need eventually. The road outside is always full of trucks and people commuting, so there’s a constant hum of traffic. We spend our days mostly bent over machines or looking at drawings to figure out how to put something together. It’s honest work. We get a bit of oil on our clothes every day, and the floor is usually a bit slippery if we aren’t careful. We’ve been operating out of this Vadgaon Budruk location for a good while. People from the nearby factories often drop by when something breaks down and they need a quick fix. We don't have a secretary, so we just answer the phone ourselves while we’re in the middle of a job. It gets a bit hectic when multiple things happen at once, but we just take it one task at a time. It’s a practical kind of life, just making things work and keeping the machines turning in this part of Pune. We close up when the light fades and do it all again tomorrow morning.
