Ishan Health Center

Our center is tucked away at 440/18 in Lane Number 2 of New Sangavi. We’re right in the Gajanan Nagar area, not too far from the Katepuram Chowk. New Sangavi is a busy residential neighborhood, and Lane 2 has its own little community feel. The office is a modest space, nothing too elaborate, just enough room for us to do our work properly. We have a few files piled up on the main desk and some benches for people to sit on while they wait. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, though people bring in a bit of dirt from the street during the rainy season. Being near the chowk means it’s easy for people to find us, even if the lane itself is a bit narrow. We start our days fairly early, getting things ready before the first visitors arrive. It’s mostly just a few of us here, handling everything ourselves. We don't have any big signs or bright lights outside, just a simple board so people know they’re in the right place. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when the school nearby lets out, but otherwise, it’s a pretty steady environment. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to make sure everyone who walks through the door gets the attention they need. It’s a local operation, and we like it that way. We keep things moving and stay busy with the day-to-day tasks.
