Ipkowala Santram College Of Fine Arts

This is basically Purvi Jain’s place for the Ipkowala Santram College Of Fine Arts, located over in Aundh, Pune. It’s more of a personal art space than a big university campus. We are right in the heart of Aundh, which is a great place for anyone into art because the vibe here is pretty creative already. We don't have a lot of formal staff or big administration buildings. It is just a spot where people come to learn and practice fine arts. We spend most of our time with brushes, clay, or whatever materials are around. The space is often a bit messy with half-finished projects and dried paint, but that is how an art place should look. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or marketing. People usually find us because they live in Pune and want to do something creative with their hands. Aundh has a lot of cafes and shops, so it’s easy to grab a snack after a long session of working on a canvas. We like it here because it is a bit quieter than the main city center. We just focus on the teaching and the making of art. It is a simple life, and we are glad to be doing it in this neighborhood. No big speeches or missions here, just art and the people who want to make it. It’s a small community and we like it that way. Everyone is just here to learn. It feels right.
