Intek Engineers

Intek Engineers has its registered office at 7/8 Vir Bharat Society, which is right in the middle of the New Timber Market. If you’ve ever been to the timber market, you know it smells like fresh cut wood and sawdust everywhere. Our office is inside the society, so it’s a bit of a mix between a residential area and the busy commercial life outside. We do engineering work here, though the surroundings are more about planks and logs. The office itself is small and a bit cramped with all the files and old ledgers we’ve kept over the years. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a handful of us who know the business inside out. Most mornings start with checking the mail and seeing what’s happening at the workshop. It’s a bit of a walk through the market to get here, and you have to watch out for the big trucks carrying timber. The walls of our office are a bit faded, and the furniture is old, but it’s where we feel most comfortable. We don't really do much in the way of marketing or trying to look bigger than we are. People find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our name in the society for years. It’s a quiet kind of work life, even with the noise of the market just a few steps away. We just focus on the drawings and the numbers.
