Indian Navy

This particular spot for the Indian Navy is located at Flat No. 102 in Rakshak Ngar, which is over in the Kharadi area of Pune. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels a lot different than a typical military base or office. Rakshak Ngar has a lot of families, and you can usually hear kids playing outside in the evenings. We use this flat for our administrative bits and pieces. It’s not a huge space, but it fits what we need. Kharadi has grown so much in the last few years with all the new IT buildings, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. There’s a lot of coming and going, as you can imagine. People stop by with documents or just to check in on things. We don't have any big signs out front. It’s just a regular door like any other in the building. Inside, it’s mostly files and a few desks. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the paperwork piles up when it’s a busy month. It’s a very grounded way to work. You get to see the local life while still doing the job. There’s a small shop nearby where we get our daily supplies. It’s just a functional office in a quiet part of town. No frills, just the daily routine of keeping things moving for the department here in Pune.
