Our place is located at B/450 in Akurdi, right along the Mumbai Bangalore Highway. Being near the highway means there is always a lot of noise and movement outside, but inside we just focus on the engineering work. We handle various systems here. It is a decent-sized space, though we have filled it up with equipment and parts over the years. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that because most of our time is spent on the floor working on projects. People stop by when they need something fixed or a new system put together. It can get quite dusty with the highway traffic so close, but we manage. We usually start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we’re looking up a part or checking a drawing. Lunch is usually a quick break before getting back to it. The location is convenient for trucks and deliveries, which helps us move things in and out without too much trouble. Sometimes we have to move things around just to make space for a new job. It’s just how a workshop runs. We keep the tools in their places and try to stay on top of the schedule. It’s busy, but it’s what we know how to do for a living.
