Hot Pizza

We have been running Hot Pizza in Rasta Peth for a few years now. The shop is quite small and sits right near the Apollo Theater. Most of the time, I am back there working the dough or checking the oven. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially when the Pune sun is hitting the front door. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us trying to keep up with the orders. Sometimes the phone rings and we can't answer it because our hands are covered in flour. People coming from the theater usually stop by for a quick bite before heading home. The chairs aren't the most comfortable ones you'll find, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend most of our money on the cheese and the gas for the ovens. We try to keep things simple. There’s no fancy menu or digital screens. We just write the specials on a chalkboard near the counter. It can get a bit messy during the dinner rush, with boxes stacked up on the side. I usually lose my pen at least twice a day. The floor gets a bit slippery from the flour sometimes, so we have to be careful. It’s just a normal neighborhood pizza place where we do our own thing. We don't worry about being the fanciest shop on the block.
