Hindustan Engineering

Hindustan Engineering is located over at Plot No. 150 in Sanaswadi. If you know the area, it’s mostly industrial, so we have plenty of neighbors doing similar things. We focus on engineering tasks, mostly manual work with machines that have been with us for years. The shop isn't shiny or new, but the equipment is sturdy and we know exactly how each piece behaves. Every morning starts with a quick walkthrough to see what got left over from yesterday. The air in Sanaswadi can get a bit dusty with all the construction and trucks, but inside the workshop, it's all about the smell of grease and cold steel. We don’t have a big team, just a handful of guys who know their way around a lathe and a welding torch. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because a part doesn't fit quite right, so we have to stay late and get it sorted. There’s no big philosophy here, we just take the drawings or the broken parts and try to make them work again. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to the machines. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve grown to appreciate over the years. We’re glad to be part of the Sanaswadi industrial community and we plan to stay here for as long as there is work to be done. The fans hum all day and the metal keeps coming in.
