High Spirits

If you walk down S V Road in Koregaon Park, you’ll eventually hear us before you see us. We’ve got that 35/A/1 spot that has a bit of an outdoor area. It’s a lot of work keeping the garden looking decent because the plants grow fast and people tend to leave their glasses everywhere. We usually have bands coming in to play, so we spend a lot of time hauling speakers and cables around. It gets pretty loud, but that’s the point I guess. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have been visiting since they were students. We don't have a dress code or any of that fancy stuff. Just come as you are. The kitchen is small, so sometimes the food takes a bit longer when it’s crowded, but nobody seems to mind too much. We try to keep the drinks cold and the vibe relaxed. It’s not always perfect; sometimes a light bulb goes out or the music cuts out, but we just fix it and keep going. I like working here because it’s never boring. There’s always someone with a story to tell at the bar. We just keep the gates open and let the night happen. It’s a good little community we’ve got going on here, and we just focus on making sure everyone has a decent time.
