Hasmukh Travels

I've been running Hasmukh Travels out of Rasta Peth for a while now. Hrushikesh is where our office is, just a small spot really. I started with one car and now we have a few more. It’s mostly just me and a couple of drivers I trust. We spend a lot of time in the city traffic. People call us when they need to get to the airport or if they have a wedding to go to. I usually answer the phone myself unless I’m driving. Sometimes the roads around here get really crowded, especially near the main market area, so we have to plan ahead. It isn’t fancy work, just driving people where they need to go. We keep the cars clean, or at least we try to, even with all the dust and the rain. I know the shortcuts around Rasta Peth pretty well by now. My cousin used to help me out, but now it’s mostly just the regular crew. We don't have a big website or anything, just a desk and some keys on hooks. People in the neighborhood know where to find us if they need a ride for the weekend. It’s a simple living, I guess. Sometimes the phone rings at 3 AM for a pickup, and that’s just how it goes. We don't make a big fuss about things. If the car is there on time and the person is happy, then the day is good. That's pretty much all there is to it.
