Gupta Provision & General Stores

Our place, Gupta Provision & General Stores, is up on the 2nd Floor on 2nd Sankli Street in Pimpri. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we still see plenty of people coming by for their daily bits and pieces. We carry a whole mix of stuff, not just food items. We’ve got some stationery, a few plastic buckets hanging up, and the usual pulses and grains in sacks. This shop has been my main focus for a long time. The space is honestly a bit tight because we try to cram as much as possible onto the shelves. Sometimes you have to turn sideways to let another person pass in the aisle. It gets a little dusty because of all the construction happening nearby, but we make sure to wipe down the counters every single morning. I usually sit near the door so I can greet everyone who walks in. It’s a relatively quiet street most of the time. We don’t bother with any big advertising or anything fancy like that. People just know we are here. If someone is looking for a specific spice for a Sunday meal, they usually come and check with me first. I try to keep my prices fair for everyone. My nephew comes around to help with the heavy rice bags when the delivery arrives. It's a small family operation, just us doing what we can to serve the folks in the building and the neighbors nearby.
