Grace Engineering Company

Grace Engineering Company is tucked away in Gavali Nagar, right over on Telco Road in Bhosari. If you know the area, we are pretty close to Abhijeet Provision Stores, which is where most of us go to grab a quick snack or a tea during the break. The shop floor is usually loud because of the machines running, and there is always that smell of cutting oil and metal shavings in the air. We have been in Pune for a while, working out of this space and dealing with whatever projects come through the door. It is mostly technical work, looking at drawings and trying to figure out how to make a piece of steel fit exactly where it needs to go. Some days the machines behave well and everything goes smooth, and other days we are stuck troubleshooting a lathe for three hours. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of workers, just a group of guys who know how to handle tools and metal. The floors get dirty and we wear overalls that have seen better days, but that is just part of the environment here. Usually, the afternoons are the busiest when the heat picks up and we are trying to finish a batch of parts before the sun goes down. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We just stay focused on the task at hand and don't worry about much else besides the job.
