Goga Ice & Cold Storage

Down here at Plot No. D-183/01 in Shirvane, things stay pretty cold. Being in the MIDC area means we are surrounded by other industrial sheds and a lot of trucks moving around all day long. It is not the kind of place people just stumble upon while walking. You have to be coming here for a reason. Most of our day is spent checking the machinery and making sure the temperature doesn't move even a couple of degrees. The walls are thick and the doors are heavy, so it stays quiet once you are inside, which is a big change from the noise of the MIDC outside. We have been at this spot for a bit, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change as more businesses move in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to jump to get the backup going right away because you can't let things sit. It’s a lot of responsibility keeping everything frozen or chilled just right. The floor is usually a bit damp from the condensation, and we’re always wearing jackets even when it’s boiling hot outside the gates. We don't really do much besides focus on the storage. It’s about the space we have and the fans that never stop spinning. If you find your way to Shirvane and look for the D-183/01 plot, that is where you will find us working.
