Ghadge Engineering Works

Ghadge Engineering Works is located near the Katraj Balepet Circle, at 123/4/5. It’s a big workshop where we do all sorts of metalwork and repairs. I started this place in a smaller shed years ago and slowly moved into this spot. The machines we use are old. They still run better than some of the new ones I’ve seen. It’s a very noisy environment with all the welding and cutting going on. My son helps me with the technical stuff now. That is a big relief. We have a lot of scrap metal piled up in the yard that we need to clear out one of these days. The circle is always congested with traffic. Getting deliveries in can be a real headache. We mostly take on jobs from local factories and farmers who need parts fixed. It’s honest work. It keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. The floor is covered in metal shavings. We have to sweep it twice a day. We share our lunch out of tiffins under the big fan when it gets too hot to work. It’s not a glamorous job. It pays the bills and keeps the community running. If you need something welded, just come by the circle and look for our sign. We usually have a dog sleeping near the gate, don't mind him.
