Excel Engineering

We’re located at number 209 on the Sarjapur Road area in Bhosari. It’s a bit of a mix around here with all the industrial stuff going on. Our engineering shop is pretty much what you’d expect. It’s loud, there’s a lot of metal lying around, and everything has a thin layer of oil on it. We don't have a front office with a fancy carpet. You walk right into the middle of the work. We spend our days running the machines and trying to get the dimensions right. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole afternoon covered in grease trying to fix it. It’s not a clean job, but we like it. The air is always thick with the smell of cutting fluid and hot metal. We have a small corner with a table where we sit and have our tea and talk about the day’s tasks. Sarjapur Road can get pretty clogged with trucks, so getting stuff in and out is always a bit of a gamble with time. We’ve been here for years, and most of the guys have been with us since the start. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone just hears about us from another shop and shows up with a part that needs fixing. We take a look, tell them if we can do it, and get to work. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us.
