Engineer

Our place is in Pimpri, over at Kapse Chawl in the Morwadi area. Pune is a big city, but our little corner feels quite local. We have been working out of this spot for a while now. It is a simple setup, typical for a small engineering business. The chawl has a lot of history and there are always neighbors around, which makes it feel safe and friendly. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning in every room; it is more of a practical workshop and office combined. The floors are concrete and we have heavy wooden tables that have seen a lot of use over the years. When the monsoon comes, the sound of the rain on the roof is quite loud, but we just keep working through it. Most of us here grew up nearby or have lived in Pune for a long time, so we know the area well. We usually start the day early before it gets too hot. There is a small tea stall nearby where we get our morning snacks. The address at Kapse Chawl isn't hard to find if you know Morwadi. We keep our tools and papers organized in our own way, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. It is a place where we actually build and fix things, not just sit at screens all day. We like the grit and the reality of working in an industrial area like Pimpri.
