We’re up on the 8th floor of the Purple Castle building, Flat 803, over in Bibewadi, Pune. It’s a bit of a way up, but the view of the city isn't bad on a clear day when there's no smog. Our company is Electronica Mechatronic Systems India Pvt Ltd. It sounds like a mouthful, but we just focus on where electronics and mechanical systems meet. We’ve got a small team here. The office is usually a mess of cables, circuit boards, and various mechanical components we’re testing out. It’s a working lab as much as it is an office. Bibewadi is a good spot for us because it’s accessible for our staff, though finding parking near the building can be a real headache some days. We don't bother with expensive office decor or fancy chairs. We’d rather spend that on better testing equipment or new tools for the lab. Most of our clients are other businesses who need technical solutions that actually work in the real world. We aren't much for corporate meetings or long presentations. We’d rather just show you the hardware and let it speak for itself. Sometimes we stay late when a project is giving us trouble. That's just the nature of mechatronics—things don't always click together on the first try. We’ve been in Pune for quite a while and have seen the tech scene here explode. We just keep our heads down and keep working on our systems.
