Durga Coffee House

We have been sitting here in Karve Nagar for quite a while now. The address is 41276 and it is where I spend most of my days. It is a coffee house, but we don’t do any of those fancy latte art things. We just have a machine that makes a lot of noise and pours out hot coffee. The tables are made of wood and they have some scratches from years of use. My cousin helps me out behind the counter on most afternoons. We start early, around 6 in the morning, to get the milk delivered and the floors swept. There is always dust coming in from the road, so the sweeping never really ends. People from the neighborhood stop by for a quick cup before they head to work. We have some snacks too, mostly biscuits and some savory bits we get from the local bakery. The lights in the back flickered for a week until I finally climbed a ladder to change the bulb yesterday. It is not a polished place. We have a small radio that plays the news. Sometimes the regulars argue about the sports scores while they drink. We just let them be. The sign outside is fading a bit because of the sun, but everyone knows we are here. It is just a simple business in Karve Nagar. We do what we can to keep the coffee hot and the place open for whoever needs a break in their day.
