Dowel Controls

Dowel Controls is located right on Sinhagad Road, inside Kudale Patil Heights at number 1. If you drive by during rush hour, the traffic is usually backed up right outside our window. We watch the cars crawl along while we sit at our benches. The building is one of those taller ones in this stretch, and we have been in this unit for a while. The work we do involves a lot of concentration and small parts spread out over the tables. We keep a couple of chairs for visitors, but they usually end up covered in papers or components. It’s not a sterile environment; there are wires and tools everywhere you look. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, which we do quite often. The staff here has been the same for several years, so we all know how the others work without needing to say much. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. You just walk in and you are right in the middle of where the work happens. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and we have to take the stairs, which is good for a bit of exercise I suppose. The sun hits the windows hard in the late afternoon, so we have to pull the blinds halfway down to see our screens. It is a practical, busy little spot where we manage the daily orders.
