Dolphins International School

Our school is tucked away on 5th Lane in Sangavi, which is a busy little part of Pune. If you are familiar with the 411027 pin code area, you know how the streets can get quite narrow and crowded with bikes and shops. We are right in the middle of that neighborhood. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when everyone is arriving at once, but we manage to get everyone inside without too much trouble. The building has a few levels, and we use every bit of space we have for the different classes. It’s a noisy neighborhood, but once the windows are shut, the kids can focus on what they are doing. We don't have a giant campus, but we make the most of what’s there. The staff room is usually full of books and half-finished cups of tea. We spend a lot of time talking to parents who live just a few streets away. It feels very much like a local spot. During the Ganpati festival, the whole area gets very lively, and we have to plan our days around the processions outside. It’s just part of being in Pune. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the things that are necessary for a school to run. We like the fact that we are right here in the community where the families live. It makes the workday feel a bit more personal for everyone.
