Dhanshree Pan Shop sits right on the Lohegaon Linking Road. It is the main road, so there is always a lot of noise from the trucks and bikes passing by. It is a very busy spot. I spend my days watching the traffic and helping whoever pulls over for a minute. The dust from the road is a constant battle for me. I am always dusting off the jars and the counter with a cloth. It is a small place, just enough for me to stand and have everything within reach. Lohegaon has grown a lot lately. There are more people and more cars every year. My shop is just a small part of that growth. I get the betel leaves fresh every morning from the supplier. If they are not good, I do not buy them. It is a straightforward way to live. There are no big meetings or emails to worry about. Just people stopping by, getting what they need, and heading back into the traffic. I have a small stool I sit on when it is quiet, but that does not happen often during the day. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoon, so I have a little shade set up. It is not much, but it is mine. If you are driving down the Linking Road, you will probably see the sign. It is just a regular shop doing regular business for people on the move.
