Devraj Servicing Centre

We run the Devraj Servicing Centre over at Karve Nagar 23. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. Most of the day is spent with the constant sound of water sprayers and the heavy smell of old engine oil. We’ve got a small space where we take in bikes and scooters for a wash or a quick check-up when they aren't running right. The floor is almost always wet and slippery, so we wear rubber boots to keep our feet dry while we work. It’s not a fancy place with a waiting room or free coffee for the customers. Most people just leave their vehicles with us in the morning and come back later in the evening after their work is done. We spend a lot of time scrubbing mud off tires and making sure the chains are greased just right. It can be tiring work, especially when the afternoon sun is beating down on the concrete outside the shop. There’s a few of us here who have been doing this for years, so we don't need to talk much to each other to get the job done. We just get on with it and keep the line moving. Karve Nagar is a busy residential area, so we get a lot of locals who stop by on their way home. Sometimes we have a backlog of bikes sitting outside on the pavement, but we try to get through them before we close up for the night. It’s just honest work.
