Deccan Engineering

Our shop, Deccan Engineering, is over at Plot No.123 in Sadguru Nagar. Being right on the Pune Nashik Road means there is a lot of traffic noise and dust coming in all the time. It’s a busy stretch of road and we’ve become part of the scenery here over the years. We do a lot of general engineering work, nothing too specialized, just the stuff that needs fixing or making. I usually start the day by opening up the shutters and checking what came in the previous evening. The space isn't huge, but we make it work by stacking things and staying organized in our own way. We have some old machines that still run better than the new ones we bought recently. The lights flicker sometimes when we start the heavy motors, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have a website or anything like that because we are usually too busy with the actual work. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and lifting heavy bits of steel. My back hurts occasionally by the time I head home, but it feels good to have finished a job. We just try to be practical and not overcomplicate things. People stop by to chat or ask for help with a broken part, and we do what we can. It’s just a regular engineering shop doing regular things every day. We don't have a big office or fancy chairs, just some benches and a lot of heavy tools.
